Old Boys' Association

Daniel Stronach - Year 10

Relationships are formed and fostered to establish a sense of belonging.

Older help younger through mentoring and peer support programmes.  House Competitions, team activities in cultural and sporting pursuits, whole school assemblies, formal ceremonies such as the annual ANZAC Assembly and Prize-giving, provide boys with an opportunity to be part of something that is bigger than themselves.  In this way, young men learn to work together to meet common goals, to develop successful co-operative skills, and along the way, establish firm, lasting friendships.

In continuing our research into the lives of our Old Boys, the school would like to hear from anyone who knows of any of our past pupils who served in the wars since World War II.  We generally incorporate this information into our annual ANZAC Service.  Our archivist, Mrs Lynley Dear, would be pleased to hear from you.  Please contact the school office on 211 3003 or mail@sbhs.school.nz.

The Southland Boys' High School Old Boys' Association invites you to join as a member of the Association.
