Junior Cricket Academy
To help students maximise the cricketing opportunities available to them in representing their region and country whilst striving towards achieving academic excellence in their school work.
This course will focus on providing a selected group of Year 7 to 10 students with the guidance and support required to further their potential and successful participation in cricket. We will provide the opportunity for students to share their experiences to plan, implement and evaluate their personal goals for the season. We will also ensure the lifestyle that they follow is balanced and productive.
The Southland Boys’ High School Cricket Academy will consist of a small number of junior students (approximately 16) whom the selectors believe have the potential to go on to represent Southland and Otago Age Group teams.
Players will be coached, mentored and monitored by experienced cricket coaches. Their progress will be assessed at the end of each term. A report on their progress and milestones will be provided to parents each term.
