Southland Boys’ High School Library is an area of the school with growing opportunities for our students to access quality research material, learning skills, award-winning literature and popular fiction and non-fiction titles.
We also provide games such as chess, cards and dominoes for the students to play during intervals and lunchtimes.

Information Literacy and Research Skills

specific skills such as; effective online searching; using

Qualified and experienced library staff select, purchase and promote reading at all levels of the school. Reading for pleasure as well as appropriate reading for NCEA is supported and boys can request specific reading recommendations when they visit the library.
