Cross Country

Southland Boys' High School Cross Country 2023 After a two year absence, the Year 9 -13 Queens Park Cross Country was back on Wednesday 3rd May.

Over 300 year 9-13 students took part in either the 3.8km Junior Run, or the 4.4km Senior Run and fantastic running conditions allowed some good times to be set.  (Photo from previous years).

With house competition points up for grabs, and the house shield to be awarded to the house with most points – it was all on. Utley - being the Shield holders, would stand to gain 20 house competition points for a successful defense by winning the Cross Country.

This was not to be however, with Coldstream students competing en-masse, to convincingly win the 2023 Round the Park – Cross Country Event.

Successful runners in each age group, would qualify for the Southland Championship to be held in Te Anau - date to be confirmed.  Watch out for more information about this in the notices or visit the Sports Office.
