Peter Devery and Casey Thompson played at the National Anzac Service in Wellington as part of the National Youth Pipe Band of New Zealand.
Casey Thompson, Year 11 and Peter Devery, Year 12, recently played in the televised National Anzac Service in Wellington as part of the National Youth Pipe Band of New Zealand, with the Governor General The Right Honourable Cindy Kiro in attendance.
Prior to this performance, Peter and Casey attended the National Youth Pipe Band of New Zealand workshop from 21st - 25th April 2023 in Wellington.
Casey (Piper) and Peter (Snare drummer) both play in the ILT City of Invercargill Highland Pipe Band, with Casey recently gaining a sought after position in the National Youth Pipe Band after a rigorous audition process. Peter has been in the National Youth Pipe Band for about a year.
Later in the year the National Youth pipe Band will tour the North Island and in 2024 an overseas tour is planned to Canada and the USA.
