The 2023 Southland Primary Schools Cross Country Championships were held at Waimumu on 16 June 2023.
Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Southland Primary Schools Cross Country Championships recently. A few of our competitors wrote about their experience:
- Mason McIlwrick: “It was really hard because of all of the hills. My legs were killing me, but I passed a lot of people on the downhill”.
- Luke Cronin: “It was a cold sunny day and the course was wet, but I enjoyed it - even the hills!”.
- Hunter Flowers: “The hills were really tough! It felt great to be first across the finish line!”
- Jonty Muir: “I improved from last year by 10 places! It was a tough course!”
