The Southland Secondary Schools Cross Country Championships were held on 20 June 2023.
The Secondary Schools Cross Country Championships were held at Ivon Wilson Park in Te Anau. There were perfect running conditions on the day and a varied track. The competitors from Southland Boys' High School performed extremely well.
Big thanks to Fiordland College and the group of volunteers for their organisation, and running a great event. Well done to all runners and big congratulations to all those that medaled!

NEW ZEALAND SECONDARY SCHOOLS CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP
Palmerston North - 17-18 June 2023
James McLeay recently competed in the 6000m Senior Boys race at the New Zealand Secondary Schools Cross Country Championship, held in Palmerston North. James placed a commendable 24th out of 184 runners. James then teamed up with other students from Southland schools and competed in the Team Relay. The team placed 6th overall with James running the fastest lap time of all the runners.
