Southland Boys' High School had 13 teams compete in the Invercargill Netball Centre’s Just for Boys’ Netball Competition.

The finals were held on Monday 25 November, and throughout the competition, all of our teams improved immensely in terms of their court play, basic skills, and rule knowledge. A huge thank you to all the staff and parents who helped out with our teams. 

Results from finals’ night:

Year 7 and 8 Grade 1SBHS Ironmen were runners up, losing gallantly to Hargest Nothing But Net 23-17, with SBHS Blues beating SBHS Chiefs 18-10 for 3rd and 4th.

Year 7 and 8 Grade 2SBHS Hurricanes beat SBHS Highlanders 27-16 for 1st and 2nd.SBHS Crusaders lost to Hargest Goal Getters 34-8.

Year 9 and 10 Grade 1SBHS Rascals runners up to Hargest Red 33-14.  SBHS Blazers (very depleted with injuries) lost to Hargest Yellow 37-16.

Year 9 and 10 Grade 2SBHS Cowboys beat Hargest Black 21-14 for 1st and 2nd.

SeniorSBHS VII beat Verdon 37-27 in a very hard fought game - back-to-back titles for this team! SBHS Dogs of War beat Hargest 22-18 for 3rd and 4th. Dogs of War are gearing up to win the Senior title next year, or so they tell us!
