Learning Support

At Southland Boys’ High School, our Learning Support Department is dedicated to helping every student reach their full potential. We work closely with classroom teachers to identify students who may face challenges accessing the curriculum due to learning differences, health needs, or physical considerations.

 

Our support is tailored to each student and can include teacher aide assistance, connections with community services, individualised learning programmes, and reader/writer support, among other strategies. Some students may work with our department over many years, while others may receive targeted support for a shorter period—whatever the need, our goal is the same: to empower every student to succeed.

 

The Learning Support team is passionate, motivated, and committed to ensuring that all students have equal opportunities to achieve their best. We believe that with the right support, every boy can thrive academically, socially, and personally.
