THE SOUTHLAND BOYS' HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARY
Our library is a vibrant hub of learning, reading, and exploration. Our students enjoy access to a growing collection of quality research materials, award-winning literature, and a wide selection of popular fiction and non-fiction titles.

BORROWING Books
Student can use their ID card to borrow books, access computers in your own time, or enjoy reading current magazines. Books are issued for a two-week period and can be easily renewed at the Help Desk if you need more time.
Please note that late return fees may apply, and replacement costs will be charged for items that are not returned or renewed after the two-week loan period.
Not Just books
The library isn’t just about books! Students can enjoy games like chess, checkers, and a variety of card games during intervals and lunchtimes, making it a fun and welcoming space to relax, connect, and challenge their minds.
Junior School Programs
Year 7 and 8 students enjoy weekly visits that combine reading with interactive activities such as games, quizzes, and challenges. These sessions help students discover engaging books and build essential research and information skills.
MEET THE TEAM
Our dedicated staff and student librarians are at the heart of our library community. They play a vital role in maintaining a welcoming, organized, and resource-rich environment for all users. Beyond keeping the library running smoothly, they are always available to support students - whether it’s helping locate resources, answering questions, or providing guidance with research and study.
