OLD BOYS' ASSOCIATION

A PROUD LEGACY SINCE 1902

The Southland Boys’ High School Old Boys’ Association has been part of our school’s story for more than a century.

First established in 1902, its purpose was clearly set out in the 1903 Southlandian: to bring former students together each year and to find meaningful ways to support the School and its young men. That mission continues to flourish today.

From Invercargill to Auckland, Wellington to Christchurch, and across to Dunedin and the Queenstown/Lakes District, Old Boys’ reunions are held nationwide - keeping connections strong and our shared history alive. The national committee, based in Invercargill, works alongside each regional branch to ensure the spirit of brotherhood remains at the heart of everything we do.

Every year, the Association proudly supports academic excellence through two major scholarships: $1,500 for the Dux and $1,000 for the Proxime Accessit. In addition to these, a number of privately funded awards from Old Boys continue to make a significant difference in recognising achievement and encouraging future success.

A legacy of connection, tradition and support - this is the Old Boys’ Association.
