Tours run for approximately 30 - 40 minutes, and you’ll also have the opportunity to speak with staff from key departments who can provide further information.

2026 School Tours by Appointments
If you’re unable to attend our Open Day, we invite you to book a school tour and experience SBHS in action during a normal school day. These tours offer a valuable opportunity to see classrooms, facilities, daily routines, and our school community in a more personalised setting.
Tours run from Tuesday 4 August – Friday 14 August, with bookings opening from 21 July 2026. As places are limited, we encourage you to book early to secure a day that suits you.
Each tour is led by a combination of Senior Prefects and a Junior School Teacher, who will guide you around the school, share their experiences, and answer your questions along the way.
To book a tour, please book ahead by calling the enrolment officer.

Applications Closed: Monday 17 August 2026 at 4:00pm.
Acceptance letters will be emailed to caregivers/parents:

How to Apply for 2027:

On the Enrolment page, head to the Enrol Now Banner, then click the 'Apply Now' button to begin your application.

You will be redirected to the Enrolment Portal.

Enter your email address and personal details.

A Stage 1 Application Form will be sent to your nominated email address.

Complete and submit the Stage 1 application by the closing date, ensuring all required supporting documents are uploaded.
Applications closed at 4:00 pm on Monday, 17 August 2026.

2027 Enrolment Availability:
In-zone students are entitled to enrol at Southland Boys' High School at any time. The places listed below indicate the number of enrolments available for out-of-zone applicants for the 2027 school year. Out-of-zone applications will be considered in accordance with the school's Enrolment Scheme, with ballots conducted where required.
Spaces available for 2027 (Out-of-Zone Applicants):
Year 7: 156 places available
Year 8: 2 places available
Year 9: No places available
Years 10-13: Places available by application
