Many clubs across New Zealand require players — even during their high school years — to register with official sporting platform. This allows points, player statistics, and performance data to be accurately collected and tracked over time, which can be invaluable for future opportunities, including pursuing sport at a higher or professional level.

Most clubs will do this on your behalf, but it’s a good idea to check with your coach or school sports office to confirm whether registration is needed.
